Macau

Well, Turbo's been working pretty hard the last few weeks. When his mom and baby sister came to visit, he didn't have a whole lot of time to spend with them. Of course, Mom and K still had a fabulous time in HK (aside from being chased by wild dogs in Cheung Chau!). Thankfully, T was able to work hard during the week and get Saturday off, so the 4 of us, oops, I mean the 5 of us :) went off to Macau for a day.

So since we're not big gamblers, we spent a lot of time just walking around, looking at furniture, and enjoying commercialism (i.e., Starbucks) nestled in the midst of historical buildings and churches. (Check out the McDonald's in the beautiful yellow building).

We enjoyed a fun dinner at this Portuguese restaurant reviewed in the Asian Wall Street Journal. Pretty much a hole in the wall type of place...but the guy's been doing this for years and his place is the only place that gets business on his street. His secret? Home-cooking using the natural flavors of the foods themselves. "I just add some salt," he said. Well, maybe a little too much salt for a few of the dishes...:p All in all, we still gave it a thumbs up.

Thanks for coming out to visit us, Mom and K! We're looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta soon!
