Over the weekend, it seemed like Trey was doing a lot more mimicking -- shaking and bobbing his head when adults did the same to him. But this was priceless:
Last night, we were praying with Trey before bed. At the end of the prayer, T said emphatically, "A-men!" I repeated him in the same way, "A-men! Next thing we know, we hear "A-meh!" We were stunned... "He just said amen!"
Afterwards, we called T's mom and as we were talking to her, I told Trey to "say hi to Nai Nai". And sure enough, "nai nai" plus some other syllables came out of his mouth.
Next, we'll be working on "praise the Lord".
Of course he still doesn't really say mama or baba -- just mamamamamama when he's upset. :p And no luck this morning with saying much of anything. :)
